Meet the Maker

GivernyRose Creations Story

My artistic journey started while living in Wales, sometime around 2014. I would often take long strolls along the beach after a busy day working in a hospital as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist. A very tough but rewarding role with the NHS. I often found myself drawn to pick up unusual driftwood that had been washed up onto the shore. It wasn't long before I combined these to make driftwood art. My first piece of art was a Driftwood Turtle which I still have in my home today!

After some years, I have expanded my work to combined Pebbles, Sea Glass and other items sourced from 'Natures Store.' While collecting art resources, I take part in beach cleans, removing washed up plastic, metal and rope from the beach and surrounding countryside. I would either recycling these or up-cycle them into my art work. In 2020, circumstances saw me moving to Oxfordshire. Though further away from the coastal paths and beaches, I have the pleasure of expanding my art work through natures ever changing environment and locations. I am always looking at new ways to develop my art work and in search of new inspiration. I am so passionate about what we do and love to share my work with others who have a enjoyment for nature and art. Thanks.
